Description
===========
CGIMachine-FORMVAR is fast 32-bit-CGI-Application. It can send the
variables of an online-form to an email-account. It can automatically
return a html-document from your server (filename) or any URL to a
client. An extra configuration-software makes the definition of the
neccessary parameters very easy. Each email can be signed with an
automatic-number and the date & time. All parameters can also be
defined via hidden input-fields in the html-document. So only one
application must be installed for as many online-forms you want to
create on your server.

How to install FORMVAR :
========================
To install the USERFORUM you need a Windows 95/98/NT-Server.
Please copy or upload the following 6 files in your CGI-Folder.
The CGI-Folder must be declared by you or your webpage-Provider
as CGI-Folder with full read/write access.
Formvar.all
Formvar.exe
Formvarconfiguration.exe
Formvar.ini
Formvar.top
Formvar.bot

Then start FormVarConfiguration.exe to configure your
FormVar-application.

If you do not have your own server then copy first all 5 files
on your local harddrive. After you made your configuration with
FormVarConfiguration.exe upload. FormVar.top, Formvar.ini, Fromvar.all,
Formvar.exe and Formvar.bot in your CGI-Folder on the server
of your Internet Provider. To Change your configuration just
start ForVarConfguration.exe and upload Formvar.top, Formvar.ini, FormVar.all
and Formvar.bot.

How to configure FORMVAR   :
============================
With the FormVarConfiguration.exe you can configure the main
parameters for the FormVar-Application. If you want to configure
Formvar via hidden input fields in your html-form then you can use
the following parameter names :

MailFrom - the sender of the email. This must be your email-Adress, because FormVar can not take the email-Adress specified in the browser-software

MailTo - the destination of the email. This must be an email adress specified in the Allowed MAIL TO adresses in the FormVarConfiguration.exe. This is for your own security, because no other webmaster can use your server to send his messages with formvar then.

MailCC - if you want to send copys

MailSubject - the subject

MailHost - your Email-Host for outgoing mail

MailPort - the mail port (normally 25)

HtmlFile - the html-document that will be returned to the client located on your server (e.g. e:\internet\wwwroot\cgi\back.htm) - specify the full pathname

HtmlUrl - the html-document that will be returned to the client located anywhere in the internet (e.g. http://www.trojan.de/back.htm) - if you specify Htmlfile and Htmlurl the Htmlurl will be taken.

Varnames - if you set varnames=NO all the names of the variables will to be added to the email

Char - if you want to change the standard char : between the name of
 the variable and the content of the variable. If you receive your
 mails with web-based services e.g. mail.yahoo.com you can use
 also &#62 to use the = .
 Attention there can be problems if you set directly to = .

All parameters not be specified with hidden input fields will be
taken from the parameters specified in the FormVarConfiguration.exe.

The TOP and BOTTOM text information will be used as head and food
of the email that will be send. If you click on Options you can add
a number and time/date to the email.
